Some notes
At the airport, you can buy Mobile card, price is 25% higher, compared to online,
or buy rail ticket or multi-use card (suica/icoca)
The rail ticket and multi-use card can be directly bought from tickets machine
Different railways have different entrances, do check the color and sign text before entering
Seat in rail train is soft, not bare-metal, and some will even heat up
Shinkansen tickets can be bought just before (like 5minutes) the train departs,
if you know your way around. The walk to the boarding stand is quite short (elevator + 200m)
Train stops very slowly, and attendant always node or smile when enter and leaving the chunk
Train on rails runs quiet, it's rare to hear the rhythmic loud sound caused by slightly misaligned rails
Most Japan hotel expect you to check-in after 3pm, and check-out before 10am
Elevator do not show which floor the chunk is currently at, so you may be less anxious
Three elevator for a 13 floored hotel, and the trunk's not small
The street is very clean, no dust even on car wheels
The street block is shorter, about 100m wide each

You can often find clocks with precise time on the road

There's wire above the ground
Most people on the street is wearing suits, and with backpacks & masks most of the time
No walking plus eating, not even drinking coffee
Most small road is not wide enough for both or even single-sided walk ways
Very few people on the small road around 10pm
Most food shop close at 10pm
Breakfast is hard to find since most shop opens at around 11:30,
got coffee and sandwich instead, or try the convenient store
Most ramen shop has ticket vending machine, so you can choose and pay without a waiter,
based on what you choose to add, one serve of ramen is around 1000jpy
For vegetables, it's kinda rare, maybe go get salad from FamilyMart
Most cars have SUV-like back storages, except the black taxi, and driver's on the right side
The car emission got a strong smell, maybe it's from the fuel
